Hi There,

I heard a really scary fact the other day - we are already 10% of the way through the year. Isn't that just crazy! By stating that, please don't think that I'm wishing the year away (seriously, I want to put the brakes on it as much as you do). Instead I'm using it to get you to take stock of where you are at. Even though it's the 'start' of the year are you still blaming your lack of routine / exercise / good eating / diligence on it being the 'crazy time of the year'? If so maybe now is a good time to get back into gear because as we know, time simply flies by. If you're living in autopilot and keep putting things off, it will be August before you know it and what will you have achieved?

To help get you thinking about what you need to do to achieve your goals and 'switching back on', this month's article is about Fast Food. In this weather it's so easy to opt for "more convenient options" however those options could actually be putting you further away from your goals!

GROUP TRAINING:

Group Training is up and running & its off to a fantastic start. We've got a great mix of 'returning athletes' after the Christmas break ;) & also it's great to see some new faces as well. RUN FOR THE KIDS: Sunday March 14th:

Have you ever thought about doing a fun run but need that little nudge to enter? Then consider yourself 'nudged'.. In the nicest way possible of course :)

Why not enter the Run for Kids which is being held on Sunday the 14th of March. Even though this year we are not running training sessions leading up to the event I highly encourage you to give it a go. It doesn't matter how long it takes you, or if you don't run the whole way. Lots 10kg and a MASSIVE 75cm!! (That's more than the size of some people’s waist!)

What is the best thing about your new lifestyle?
Being able to do the things that I wasn't able to do before because my weight held me back! I also love being able to buy clothes that don't look like tents.

What has been the hardest thing for you?

The hardest thing about training is getting up at 5:30am every morning because I'm NOT a morning person. I also struggle with running.

How have you overcome this?

Be realising that if I don't get out of bed at that hour then I'm not going to be able to lose the weight!!!! Some morning it's really hard but once I'm there I love it and it's a great way to start the day!

(OMG Seriously - I couldn't have said it better myself! It's so true, how can you expect to drop the kilos if you don't put in the effort? If it was easy - we'd all be super skinny & professional athletes. And because of Kayleen's rockstar attitude she's worked hard & has amazing results to show for it!)

What has been your biggest accomplishment to date?
Losing 75cm, Dropping 2 dress sizes and getting my self esteem back! Thanks Amanda :)
