Hi There,
Wow Easter’s over and we’re already at the ¼ way mark for the year! I hope that you had a great break over Easter and that you didn’t undo all of your hard work! If you did lose track over the break then it’s time to jump back on the wagon & stop making excuses about your health & fitness :)
Remember that with everything you do, it’s all about consistency & moderation!
This newsletter is jam packed with lots of information. We’ve got our next intake of Group Training (yes we’ve already finished term 1! How quickly is this year flying already!), we’ve got information about our fantastic new indoors location, quick healthy dinner ideas and finally we’re showing off our new tee & singlet range *breathe Amanda*... :)
So it’s all systems go here and I hope that you’re on the same track & kicking goals as well. As we all know it gets harder as it gets colder and darker so gather up any motivation you have and give yourself the kick you need to get yourself on track NOW for winter.
Wishing you great Health & Fitness
Lots of Luv
Amanda XxXx

GROUP TRAINING & NEW TIME SLOT!
Isn't it scary that we're already in April 2010? How are you tracking with your health and fitness goals? As we move into the colder months it's going to be harder to find the motivation to get up & train, so instead how about joining up for Group Training. It's a fun way to get fit & healthy, get your exercise in and best of all it's in a social environment (yup we love a giggle whilst we train, but I promise you'll still sweat!).
Our new term is commencing on Monday the 12th of April and will run for 12 weeks and it takes us right through until July! We'll be starting outdoors for a couple of weeks and then moving to a NEW indoors location (info below).
With the introduction of the new time slot starting on the 4th of May the Unlimited Package gives you even more flexibility and allows you to train up to 10 hours per week for only $40!

NEW INDOORS LOCATION FOR GROUP!
With the winter months approaching we will be moving our Group Training sessions indoors to avoid the cold, miserable weather. Last year we successfully ran our Group Training program indoors at Watsonia Primary school; however we have outgrown the venue (that's because you're all now health & fitness nuts and keep training over the winter month’s hehe) and need to find a 'bigger' home.
Our Group Training sessions will now be held at Parade College which is located on Plenty Road and only about 3-5 minutes from our previous location. It's a fantastic venue which will give us lots of space, allow us to do a lot more activities & also has a great vibe. I've include a map below as well as a picture of the space we'll be 'playing in'. As you can see it's a great venue & at least twice the size of our venue last winter!

So join up now whilst there are still spots available (places are limited). You can also find more information on our website: Don't Miss Out! Read More...

Quick Fix - Quick Meal Ideas
Following on from our last newsletter 'The Skinny on Fast Food' I wanted to give you a couple of additional suggestions on quick meals that you can whip up with very little time and also minimal calories (compared to those ridiculously high fast food options you might otherwise make).
- Whipping up an omelette is super quick and easy. If you want to watch your calories, add more egg whites than yolks (i.e. 1 egg, 2 egg whites) but if you've got the calories why not have 2 eggs with a bit of milk. Mix it up by adding some vegies, luncheon meats or you could even get fancy and add some chicken/salmon etc and roll it up to serve. A sprinkle of cheese over the top - YUM!
- Vegies are super quick and super easy (particularly if you grab a bag of frozen vegies), however sometimes they can be a bit boring. So to jazz them up add a little bit of butter & sprinkle them with some of your favourite spices. There are hardly any calories in vegies so you can eat as much as you want & they're really not difficult to prepare (and if you're that time poor you can even nuke them!) Personal Garlic Sprinkles are my favourite!
- Having tins of food in the cupboard are always a good option for those last minute / back up meals. Tinned soups only have aprox 200cals, baked beans 350cals and tinned spaghetti 300cals. Even if you have a packet of pasta it's only 300cals, which even though it's not as tasty, compared to a whopping 1200cals for fish & chips it's so much nicer to the waist line!
- Pita bread & Pita pockets are a great way to add a bit of variety to a boring old sandwich. Load it up with meats, salads and even add a little bit of salad dressing to add flavour. Alternatively have you ever thought about cooking up some bacon & eggs and throwing them into your pocket, or you could even toast them with your favourite fillings.
- When I'm on the run one of my quickest meals is cooking up some chicken on the BBQ and making a quick salad (lettuce, tomato, onion, feta, olives). Chicken can be time consuming to cook though so to quicken up the process I have started to slice my chicken breasts in half (long ways) so they're thinner and cook a lot quicker. Because they're always in the freezer it's a quick easy option (and I can guarantee I'll be eating that meal before a pizza would even rock up at my door if I ordered in)
- Finally my last suggestion would be to either freeze any leftovers meals you have or you could even do a 'cook up' on the weekend when you have a little more time. This is by far the best option because you can cook up something you know that you'll enjoy and you can probably get the kids to eat as well!
