Hi There,

In this newsletter I've decided to touch on something that I see effects everyone & can impact on their performance. We all have negative thoughts which tell us "how badly we've done something or how we should have done more" but for some people I see that's the headspace they allow themselves to play in for the majority of the time. As above, we all have those negative thoughts, but I think the cool thing about us is the fact thatwe can chose how much time & creditability we give those negative thoughts.

I really don't understand why as a society we think that it's cool to beat yourself up & that it is ok to think badly about ourselves. I completely disagree & the impact that I see it has on people’s performance is astounding. I literally can see in an instant when a person decides that they're not good enough / fit enough / strong enough so they quit before they even start. If only they didn't give those negative thoughts so much time, they would be amazed at the results they can ACTUALLY achieve if they just gave it a go!

I hope that after reading the article, I'm able to shake up some people’s perspective & hopefully they'll get the kick in the pants they need to help change their thoughts & work at improving their lives!

Onto a more upbeat note, the other news is that we've moved indoors for all of our Group Training sessions. We've had a great response to the new location & a lot of sweat & tears have already been shed... Ok not so many tears but lots of sweat :)

I hope that you enjoy the newsletter and as always, I love to hear your thoughts & feedback :)

Wishing you great Health & Fitness
Lots of Luv

Article: Why is it ok to beat ourselves up?
By Amanda Rattay

I'm getting really frustrated by the amount of people that think that it's ok to treat themselves like crap, that think it's ok or cool to put themselves down and beat themselves up for the things that they can't do. Rather than actually taking a step back and giving themselves credit for the things that they HAVE achieved they get more of a kick out of being negative and making those events so insignificant because they're too busy telling themselves how much they suck at everything else.

Like seriously guys – glass half empty perhaps? Continue Reading.....

Client's Corner
I know that trying to create a fit & healthy lifestyle can sometimes be hard and often it feels like you're doing it on your own. Each month I want to share with you some of my client’s experiences & accomplishments to help you motivate and inspire each other... (and show the world how fantastic these guys are!) AW xx

Name: Carly v:shapes="Picture_x0020_12"     Results to date: Lost 5kg and 17cm in just 9 weeks of Group Training (only 2 x sessions per week!)

What is the best thing about your new lifestyle?
I now have enough energy to keep up with my 2yr old son, and have more in the tank to go on with my day to day tasks.  And I can still have some naughty food because I know I  can and will burn it off - and I have the energy to do so!  I am sleeping  much better and don't feel sluggish at all anymore.

I love the group training - everyone eggs everyone on, whether they are struggling or have done well.  And most important we manage to have a laugh in amongst all the sweat!

What has been the hardest thing for you?

I haven't found anything physically "hard" - most might say the early mornings, but I'm an early bird anyway.   I still find it mentally hard to motivate myself and run, because I  absolutely loathe it, but once I've done it - it's not so bad!

How have you overcome this?

RESULTS! I found in the first couple of weeks nothing much had changed, but then started to cope with the exercise and recover from the sessions a lot easier, then my clothes started to tell me that there were definite changes happening all over, and it was all for the better. It goes to show - if you eat right (smaller portions - not army size) and at the right time of day, and keep at it - anything is possible.

What has been your biggest accomplishment to date?

My goal was to get to my weight before I had my son Banjo, and maybe another few kg's within a year - When we "weighed in" at the end of Term 1, I was stunned at my progress and not only did I lose some kg's, but I lost inches from my entire body - which to me is more important than what the scales say.  I am now half way there - within 10 weeks!

My best achievement is that I can fit back into my old favourite jeans I bought on our honeymoon nearly 4 yrs ago!   And my attitude is starting to change from the "I'd like to do that one day", to  "I can and will do that"

Thanks Amanda, you're a gem!
