Hi Amanda,
Another month is
rolling on bye and we are almost at the end of October. I really can't
believe how quickly this year seems to be going! Coming into the last
couple of months of the year things tend to get quite hectic and it gets
harder and harder to take some time out for yourself & reflect on where
you are at and where you want to be. I thought it would be timely to write
up an article on what excuses you're allowing yourself to get away with,
rather than working on being the best you can be. I hope that it pushes
some buttons and gets you guys fired up to make it a fit & healthy end
of year!
You will also find in
this newsletter updates on our latest PT packages, an update on Group
Training (why not come along and try it out!) and also our T-Shirt
Competition. Yup you read that right! We are designing up some t-shirts for
you guys to work out in and we would love your help. The winning entry
(which will be judged by you guys) will win either 2 Personal Training
Sessions or 2 weeks of Group Training (you
might even choose to make it a cheap Chrissy pressie for a family member or
mate)!
As always, I love to
hear your thoughts & feedback on the newsletter/article.
Wishing you great Health & Fitness
Lots of Luv

Article: What's your excuse?
By
Amanda Woollard
Being a Personal Trainer it never ceases to
amaze me the excuses people come up with as to why they can’t live a
fit & healthy life! Right away, I want to define what I think fit and
healthy is. I’m not talking about having a 10-15% body fat ratio or
being able to bench press 100kg; my definition of being fit and healthy is
having a healthy diet (for the majority of the time); doing regular
exercise that gets you huffing, puffing, hurting and sweaty; having a
healthy work life balance; taking time out to enjoy the little things in
life that we’ll look back at when we’re 70 and will make us
smile; and it’s about not being stressed and run down all of the
time.
As you can see, by my definition of being fit
and healthy it’s not that difficult or complex, yet I hear every
excuse under the sun as to why people can’t make that happen for
themselves. Continue

T-SHIRT COMPETITION:
AR1 Fitness Training is in the process of designing some workout t-shirts
for you guys and I need your help! I am sure that we have some
"budding designers out there" who would love to have their say. To
be part of the competition all you need to do is come up with a
t-shirt design. Once all entries have been submitted we'll put it to a vote
and the most popular t-shirt will win.
The rules are that it has to include our name
(AR1 Fitness Training) and also our web address (www.ar1.com.au). The
t-shirts will be printed on the front of the t-shirt (350mm x 350mm) and
printed in 1 colour. Send through your designs to amanda@ar1.com.au (email me for more spec
info)
To help get the creative juices flowing the
winner will receive either:
2 Free PT sessions or 2 weeks of Unlimited Group Training (either can be
used for themselves, a friend or family member).
All entries need to be received by COB on
Wednesday November 11th.
I can't wait to see what some of you come up with!
Client's Corner
I know
that trying to create a fit & healthy lifestyle can sometimes be hard
and often it feels like you're doing it on your own. I want to share with
you some of my client’s experiences & accomplishments to help you
motivate and inspire each other... (and show the world how fantastic these
guys are!) AR xx
Name:
Carly
What is the best thing about your new lifestyle?
I love being able to see the difference in my clothes size, even though
the scales sometimes frustratingly doesn't move, the clothes tell another
story! I also feel like I have more energy during the day and I can focus
better at work.
What has
been the hardest thing for you?
Eating the right foods!! I am a sucker for lollies
and chocolates. I figure I can reward myself for all my hard work but have
to keep reminding myself it's all in moderation otherwise I'll
just undo all my hard work.
They should put on food labels how much of an exercise you would
need to do in order to work it off - maybe that might change what we
put in our mouths!! ha ha :)
How have you overcome this?
I try to consciously eat really well during the week. However
there are always those 'office lunches' or the need for an 'afternoon
chockie fix', so I try to eat well and if I do fall off the wagon, I eat
better the next day and do extra exercise to make up for it.
What has been your biggest accomplishment to date?
I have definitely noticed I am toning up a lot more and clothes
are fitting a lot better of late! (Amanda: And I'm sure she will look SUPER
hot in her Wedding Dress in a couple of weeks! You’ll be doing walking
lunges down the aisle right??)
